Hellenic Culture, Language, and Dance (Elementary Age)
Our unique approach to teaching the Modern Greek Language, Hellenic Culture, and Folk Dances from various regions of the Hellenic World seeks to instill a love for the Hellenic heritage that our young people become life-long learners.
On Tuesdays at 6:30 we begin our language and cultural lessons for 1st through 5th Grade. Our two classes are broken up into beginner and intermediate so that every student regardless of age may receive the most appropriate education.
Before Greek Dance begins at 7:15 we take a little break for our little ones to get their wiggles out. The Pitsirikia and Ellinopoula Folk Dance Troops then practice until 8:00 p.m. Our Pitsirikia and Ellinopoula are proud to perform every year at our Greek American Festival.
Patrida Dance Troop (Middle and High School Age)
Our teenage dance group welcomes all abilities to participate. The primary focus of our Patrida Dance Troop is to continue the fellowship of our teenagers and their love for Greek Folk Dances. We also work hard to prepare for exhibition shows, especially our Greek American Festival and the annual Hellenic Dance Festival hosted by the Metropolis of Atlanta.
Palikaria Dance Troop (Adults)
Fun for all ages 18 and over. Our Adult Dance Troop is a fun group of young and young at heart adults. Some of us are experts in Greek Dance, some come for a good work out and to try to learn a few new steps for their two left feet. Join us on Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
