Let's Raise Up Some Little Saints!

Our children are like sponges, absorbing everything they see and hear, and masters of imitation!

St. George has three Sunday School classes that offer age appropriate spiritual education in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our Church School program begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning when parents and children gather in the Church for the Divine Liturgy (Extra Credit for attending Orthros which begins at 8:30 a.m.)  Attending Divine Liturgy together as a family is the most critical aspect of the program, it is in the Divine Liturgy that we encounter God and when we do this together as a family it is even more meaningful.  Also, just as you are your child's most important teacher in secular matters, you are also your child's most important teacher in spiritual matters.

Following communion our Church School Students PreK3-5th Grade go to their classes.

PreK3-Kindergarten is held on the stage of Kontos Hall, it is an interactive program focused on learning how to pray.  We sing songs, dance, and even chant the hymns of the Church.

Our 1st-3rd Grade class is held in Classroom 1.  In these ages we focus on learning the stories of the Bible, meeting the saints, and the history of the Church.

The 4th and 5th Grade class is held in Classroom 2.  This class continues learning the Bible and Saints as well as begins to teach the most important theology of the Orthodox Church.

Middle and High School students are encouraged to attend GOYA on Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. to learn more about the Orthodox Faith.  There are also many opportunities for Middle and High School students to serve on Sundays, including in the Altar, with the chanters, in the Narthex, and for coffee hour.
